The writing style was very choppy, and chapter length became jittery as well; it's as if Meltzer believes the public can't keep their attention in one place for more than 3 pages (which may be true). The plot was interesting, though yet another secret society in the government is becoming cliche. The protagonist's transformation from quiet archivist into budding super spy is not particularly believable, though Nico (a secondary antagonist) was portrayed in a pleasing and chillingly way. The details of NARA were spot on, and at least that part of it was a welcome walk down memory lane.
