License to Pawn: Deals, Steals, and My Life at the Gold & Silver

If you enjoy watching Pawn Stars on the History Channel, you will most likely enjoy getting to know Rick Harrison and his family a bit better. You will learn the history of the store, the family's struggle to succeed, and how a man who dropped out of high school has made his store "World Famous".
For me, the story wasn't boring, but it was repetitive (with The Old Man, Big Hoss, and Chumly chiming in). It took me several days to work up the energy to finish it. I won't say it wasn't worth my time. I learned things I didn't know about the pawn industry, how the show has truly transformed Rick's relationship with the shop, and that when you get your jewelry cleaned, they can collect what they have buffed off and make a profit. Definitely didn't know that.
So - read if you interested in Pawn Stars and the industry in general.
