Absorbing indeed!! This is one of my favorite books.. I knew that it would be my favorite even before I purchased the book because I've seen the movie many times before and the movie was my number 1. I must say, the book (as all books that got turned into movies) much more detailed and vivid.. In which the details were of great importance and not an excess jib jab.
A favorite book to me means that the idea, content was genuine and that I've never encountered a similar work.. And let me just say that Patrick suskind's work in perfume was original. I guarantee you won't find anything like it. The plot will leave u reading for hours
And -again I don't want to spoil it- but look forward to each end of each chapter. For there is a dramatic end that leaves u wondering (what will the author leave for last?!)
Amazing, simply amazing. Not a single boring moment I felt in the pages of this book.

I kept reading for five straight hours. And I was satisfied with the ending
