I've been a fan of Jodi Picoult for much of my young adult life, so I've definitely read a fair share of her books. This was a good read, but I felt like the characters could have had a bit more depth that they did. The story that she spun in Picture Perfect is a bit cliche, yes, but I think her portrayal of it was done well enough that I wasn't constantly comparing it to another book or another story thinking, "Hey, I remember a scene like that from..."

I felt like sometimes I knew exactly where the story was going, and at other times, I was just as lost as one of the major characters, but by the end, I didn't know what to expect at all and gave up trying to figure it out. The ending was...appropriate considering the story. I was satisfied with it.

One thing I've always loved about Picoult's writing was the way she's able to paint the pictures of certain emotions in your mind. That was just as good in this novel as any other and she deserves definite props for that!
