This book was recommended by a UVM History professor whom I was talking with about Brandon, VT and using historical preservationj as a tool for economic development. I am quite interested in understanding America in the age of consumerism, militarism, thgeocracy and the decline of empire so tso that being said...this book is dated. But very funny. I am not sure what class I belong to since I recognized parts of me in absolutely every class that supposedly does not exist in this country. It is extensively researched and provides exercises in the appendix testing your understanding.. The book is entertaining to say the least.
