When I picked up this book I thought this would be another sentimental story about a dying girl wanting to fall in love and watch a beautiful sunset and be a complete saint before she dies. Not being afraid, never questioning or beng angry at the hand life had dealt her. Similar too A walk to remember...what I found was a strong willed, stubbourn, sometimes reckless and daring young woman who truly does want to live life to fullest while she has it. Experiencing the good (falling in love with a guy who truly wants her back) and the bad (drugs, having sex with a random stranger) She is angry about what she has to go through...something about the way she faces her death is so real. She's scared there is nothing after death, she is scared of being forgotton and buried and angry that she has to die while her friends and family can go on with there lives and yet she still manages to be happy with what time she does have and doesn't intend on wasting it. A book that definetly makes you think and appreciate life.
