The former editor of The Rocky Mountain News thought about a way to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the city of Denver and of The Rocky Mountain News as well. So he asked 12 respected Colorado fiction authors if they would write a short story --each set in a different decade from the 1860's to 2009, and one to speculate on the future. Unfortunately, the venerable Rocky Mountain News was forced to close just two months short of its 150th birthday. But this tribute will last a long time. A unique book, that is well worth reading. An added bonus--the unusual and eye catching illustrations by Margaret McCullough and Charles Chamberlin which complement the stories.
