61 Hours (Jack Reacher, #14)
by Lee Child
by Lee Child
Total page-turner. Lee Child has a talent for really grasping the reader and making you never want the book to end. He's another one of those authors that has me drooling for their next book (he joins French, Cronin, King, among others). I know a great book when I get to the end and am so upset its over that I go back and read the last chapter. I did that with this book. Having a military background myself, I find all the references even more enjoyable.
I don't want to say much else because it will be a spoiler.
I love the Jack Reacher character. I'm having a torrid affair with him. He's quiet and brooding and clever and smart and handsome (in my overactive imagination). I am a bit perturbed that the 6'5" Reacher will be portrayed by Tom Cruise in the Film Adaptation of "One Shot". Cruise is a great actor but Reacher's immense size is one of the things that define him and his character traits.
But back to the book; enthusiastic "YAY" on this Jack Reacher installment. On to the next one...
