Read in October, 2005

In April, 1920 Doug and Becca Mackenzie’s parents have been lost ostensibly on a mission for The Honourable Guild of Specialists and they have exhausted a number of relatives until they wind up on a converted Admitalty Special Services Ship that has been supposedly converted to an oceanographic research ship with their uncle. The problem is that their uncle seems to be on a secret mission involving smuggling, scientific research involving super strong metals, and a mysterious explosive element and Doug and Becca have a reputation for not doing what they are told. This puts them in the middle of the action.
