really liked it
bookshelves: poetry, non-fiction, adult
Read from August 06 to 14, 2011

Even though I still love Billy Collins best of all, I was a little disappointed by this collection. My favorite of all of the poems was definitely "Thank-you Notes" but the rest all seemed a bit dull, not as vibrant and stuffed with interesting and dripping pictures. I will love you forever Billy, but this is definitely not my favorite of yours.

Leah it's funny that you say that. when i called another library system to request one of his collections for my book discussion group, she said something like, "have you read his latest? it's sad. doesn't have any of his signature spunk." she attributed it to a divorce, i think.
