I didn't like or understand the Ghouls, so I'd have to say that was the one element of the book that really turned me off and distracted from the primary plot. Lily's a very independant character and I liked that. For once Savich and Sherlock were actually a bigger part of the story again. One of the better ones of the series so far if you don't count the entire Ghoul mess.
