If you've read any of Marion Zimmer Bradley's books before, then throw away your usual expectations and track down a copy of The Catch Trap. If you aren't normally interested in Bradley's books, then you might consider making an exception. This is nothing like her other works -- not like the one's I've read, anyway.
I won't write a detailed review here, because I read this book quite a few years ago, and my memories of it aren't fresh enough. But I wanted to share the fact that this is one read that has stayed with me over the years: the characters, the setting, even certain scenes.
This is an unusual, and an unusually good read, especially coming from Bradley, whose offerings are wildly uneven. This one's a keeper, and it's worth tracking down a copy.
