really liked it

Ilove the first two thirds or so of t his book. It didn't end quite as wonderfully as it began; part of the problem, I think, is that the hero doesn't really develop as a character past a certain point. Now, I can see that's a challenge when he's supposed to be a several thousand year old god, but still, its meaks the book less about a relationship and more about the heroine. Also there is a key moment when the heroine is confronted by a real problem with her relationship (external reality) and instead of discussing it with him, we see her go off, and then tell him later what she thinks they should do. While I liked her solution, it didn't really work as well as a mutual decision would have.
Still, she's a gifted writer, and on my auto buy list now. I am particularly impressed with the differences in personality between her first two heroines--and intrigued by the teaser for her next book.
