it was amazing
bookshelves: historical-fiction

I read this book before watching the movie. After watching the movie i prefer reading the book instead. It gave more detail and was more enchanting compare to the movie. At one point i felt as if i was also in the book, one of the characters. Really enjoyed it. Keep an open mind as some people refer Geisha as prostitute. They are not. They are ladies-in-waiting. Geisha learns the art of love, music, poetry etc. Imagine them as a 5star restaurant host. ;)

This book is about a little girl who was suppose to be a house maid in the house of Geisha but end up training to be a Geisha. Love and life came her way so did the world war. After all the 'huha' she is now residing in New York. Not bad for a Geisha.
