I picked up this book after I completed my first year at Nationwide and I started hunting for the next job opportunity in the company. I was a rising star and the doors seemed wide open so I decided it was a good idea to read this book and make sure I'm prepared for the next steps. The book is meant for already successful people who are being held back because of issues common to high performers. The base of the book is the idea that a high performer is susceptible to certain personality flaws that can annoy others and that can be easily solved if only they are discovered and the person is willing to work on them. I recognized myself in some of the examples in the book and overall found it very interesting. It's well worth a read for people who are doing well in their careers because it'll help them avoid some of the mine fields that can stop them in their tracks.
