This was my book club's selection for May. I have enjoyed the mystery genre in the past, but was not really impressed by Agatha Christie. I think I prefer watching the action unfold along with the detective. Here, there was very little action to actually unfold. And while thought games can be interesting, the "parlor-room" variety of mystery is just not my cup of tea. In addition, Poirot was so self-congratulatory, I found he grated on me. Sorry Tam :) Hmmm, maybe I don't like mysteries as much as I used to.

Jared Esther liked this one better than the other Christie book, but she definitely enjoyed it more than I did. I would have been glad to have been at book club with you to support you!

Mimi For the record, Poirot is just that way. It's part of his make-up, part of his allure to most.

David You just don't get Christie.
