I read this in 2008 and was impressed that it was dated 1994. A lot of the things in the book seem much closer of late. Perhaps the timescales in the book are a bit too soon, but maybe not... A lot can happen in a week! For someone into Grid Computing and Geographical Modelling this book is compelling. It also asks a lot of ethical questions and searching questions about what it would really mean to duplicate or virtualise people...
