If you like quirky fiction with supernatural tones, try this book. Rebekkah Barrow spent her teenage years in the small town of Claysville, living with her grandmother, Maylene. She watched her granny tend to the dead, going to the funerals and performing a strange ritual every time. Ten years later, Rebekkah finds herself back in Claysville, tending to Maylene after her death and acting out the same ritual. She soon discovers that the ritual is more than that - it's necessary so because the town of Claysville is entwined with a shadowy world of the dead below, a land ruled by a strange man called Charles or Mr. D. If Rebekkah doesn't take up her granny's job of Graveminder & her old friend Byron take on the role of Undertaker, the dead will begin to walk.
