Mia Everett couldn’t believe that Rob Ziggerman, a football player, would ever want to go out with her. They have been on six glorious dates, one of them counting a football practice, but it seems he may now have his sights on Samantha Griffin. Rob used to sit next to Mia in biology class but is now sitting with Samantha.
Candice, Mia’s best friend, knows of a shop where she could find a love potion. Candice is a hypochondriac and uses items from the store but Mia is still reluctant about the potion. They get the potion from the shop and perform it during a senior assembly. At first, Mia thinks the potion worked until she notices Rob’s vehicle outside of Samantha’s house.
Yet, at school, Rob sits next to Mia. She’s thrilled and thinks nothing can go wrong until the new kid, Chase Miller, tells her that he works for the Department of Paranormal Containment and everyone that was present at the assembly is now on their way to becoming zombies. He also tells her that she’s queen, but it’s not a good thing because they are giving he candy and junk food to fatten her. Will Mia be able to reverse the spell before Chase kills them all?
I’ve checked this book out from the library before but never got around to reading it. Now that I have, I was stupid to wait this long. I’ve checked out another zombie book before but never read it. I wasn’t sure if I’d like reading about zombies or not. Apparently, I like zombies…for now anyway. I loved this book. I thought Rob was nice. There wasn’t much upstairs but it definitely added funny parts to the book. I couldn’t stand Samantha or Grace, Mia’s sister, in the book, but both of them are the popular people that are mean. Grace does redeem herself somewhat but not much. I also loved the ending.
