The Steel Remains (A Land Fit for Heroes, #1)

I have to say that between all things, it took me a long time to finish this book. I probably read other in the time I was suppose to read this one and the reason for this is that the first half of The Steel Remains is so slow and hardly anything happen. Yes, it sets the background for the final half but it makes for difficult reading and you really only want to get to the action point. Action which it is not as abundant as you might think in the book. It is quite graphic thou, sex-wise and blood-wise and by having not one but 2 gay characters [one gay, one lesbian] the scope for this book could be already limited. However, it is very well done, and hopefully there would still be another entry of this sort, like a second book, to solve all of that that was not solve or did not make much sense at the end! [Takavach is a firm example, what was his purpose in all this????] and obviously the whole Dwenda-Humans war was just starting and although sorted, it wasnt finished.
Maybe a second book will deal with all that that was laid here but not answered. And hopefully will be as good as the second half of this first one.
