Men like Knulp are not useful, but they are less dangerous than most of the ones that are useful. When someone like Knulp, gifted with soul and talent, doesn't find his place in the world, the world is as much as guilty as Knulp himself.

Apollo's Crow I really like the first sentence of this review. I'd add that for some men, men like Knulp, their place may just be the "no place" between places. And in that sense, they are useful, because they remind the rest of us not to take our own places too seriously.

That's a very good addition.
