Clapton
by Eric Clapton
by Eric Clapton
I have never been a huge fan of Clapton. Sure I like Layla and Cocaine like every one else but I cant understand the guitar hero tag he has received. But when I saw this book in my local library I thought it would be interesting to read it because I know about some of the hardships in his life.
And Clapton tells an interesting tale about addiction and selfloathing and he is very candid about his problems.
But I am so sorry to say that it would probably been better if someone else had written it. The book is hard to read due to chronological issuus - he skips forward and backwards in time. And he rambles on and on sometimes without any direction. And I would have liked more info on the music and his collaborators through the years.
But it is an interesting read and if you are a fan its amust.
