I switched to paper from audiobook with this series and am enjoying them more. the audiobooks slow down the action and draw out the blood and pain of the fight scenes, plus the first-person narration makes the audiobook sound overly dramatic. In print, I'm able to concentrate on the humor and wonderful dialog in the book, as well as follow the excellent action sequences.

In Bk 3, Kate ends up involved in gladiatorial games while trying to solve some vicious murders. Be warned, the games are brutal.

Khe and Curran continue to dance around each other, with Curran making some moves and Kate dodging them. ;-)

Excellent series.
