The Wizard of Earthsea was a book far better than I expected it to be. IN it a young wizard by the name of Sparrowhawk pays the price for his own pride and releases a shadow into the world. Through the course of the book he travles all of Earthsea, searching for a way to escape the shadow until finally he is driven beyond the farthest lands to the very shore of Death itself.
The book's character's are surpisingly well built and by the end of them you'll find yourself truly empathising with them. The story, while slightly cliche in nature, is still gresat fun and a very enjoyable read.
