She,d do anything to protect her daughter and her life in New York . -including lie about her past .Nina,s secret life began nineteen years ago When she went to Key west Florida on spring break. With her premed boyfriend and other friends . When they all get drunk and Nina wakes up to find her boyfriend making ove to her best friend in the bathroom she runs out of the room steals his car and takes off.. when a dog runs in front of her and she tries to avoid hitting it she goes into a spin and accidently hits and kills the dogs owner when the cop comes to the scene, he says she,s under arrest but than changes his mind tells her he,s letting her go, that the guy was a drug dealer and a low life scum bag and she did the world a favor. She ends up marrying the cop,while catering a party an undercover FBI agent gives her his card says he can help her and she should be careful, as her cop husband isn,t who she thinks he is on the card is some dates in a newspaper turns out Peter,s first wife was killed in a store when a criminal tried to snatch her purse, she was pregnant and had left Peter as he didn,t want children. so WHEN jeanine aka Nina finds herself pregnant she fakes her death by the jump killer, and escapes to New york where she works to put herself through Law school. When her firm gets involved in getting people out of jail for crimes they didn,t commit, she winds up with the jump killer case only problem is its the wrong guy Nina knows who the jump killer really , as he picked her up htch hiking and tried to kill her nineteen years ago . But she managed to escape. All of a sudden her ex Peter is back in the picture he is now sheriff in Key west. and she has to avoid him at all costs. Can she free the convict and get away from her ex with her life, and save her daughter also. or will she die trying. loved this book chapters are short, its like five books in one.
