This is the beautiful story of the equestrian teacher at the Tulsa House of Night, Lenobia. It takes place in the late 18th century and talks about how Lenobia takes the place of her dead sister, daughter of a baron of France. Lenobia was a bastard, and therefore, if she wanted a better future, she had to go with what her mother has planned for her, which was move to New France (New Orleans) and marry the man Cecile was supposed to. During the voyage to New Orleans, she had to deal with the stress of hiding from a priest that enjoyed raping beautiful young girls, who also knew the true identity of Lenobia. In the cargo part of the ship, she finds her one and only true love, Martin, with a shipping of horses for his father. They fall in love, but then, when everyone reaches New Orleans, Martin does something that shows how much he truly loves Lenobia. It devastated her and she made a vow to never love another man at the short age of 15-years-old when she got Marked. This vow has been alive for more that 300 years and it is what makes this story so beautiful an "magickal."
