One of the best openings I've ever read for any book. So...I am reading the rest of it.
Sixty-four days on and I am still reading it. Slowly. It's still good. I don't really know what it will be about. Sort of like...the First Circle. The physical size of it makes it inconvenient to read anywhere but at a desk or table. Can't take it on the train or read it in bed. And it's dense and slow moving, not a page turner; each couple of pages seems complete, or nearly so, and so it's satisfying to just dip my toe in, read a different book or article, and come back to it. Weird. It makes me want a kindle.
