Really cool firsts Graphic Novel of The Hollows series!

This first installment is told through Ivy’s viewpoint and goes back to the beginning when Ivy and Rachel first meet and are teamed up as partners for the first time. Lots of drama and bloodlust, as you’d expect, and an interesting mystery that leaves you wanting more and anticipating Book 2, which is thankfully already in progress.

In the included author’s notes, Kim Harrison mentions that many readers expressed their disappointment as the characters don’t look the way they were imagined. I felt the same, but certainly can’t blame the author for not knowing what’s in my head. I did laugh though when she mentioned that she always imagined Ivy to resemble the actress Lucy Liu, because I always though the same! And of course I missed Jenks and hope he’ll be included in Book 2.

Anas Attic Book Blog Is it different from the original books?

Wendy I don't really remember the case/mystery featured in the 1st book, but I'm pretty sure this is a different case. Rachel gets assigned to be Ivy's partner and they're meeting and working together for the first time. No pixies, but a couple other old familiar faces. I just found out that there's a "Twilight" graphic novel too. Everyone's joining in :)
