Black Postcards: A Musical Romance
by Dean Wareham (Goodreads author!)
You write a good review. But then I remember: you're a writer. Hee. I need to go back and write a review or two. Do you miss working for Red Herring?
I became a fan of Luna myself some years ago (ahem). The boyfriend I was with after knowing you became a fan eventually as well. Tee hee.
Who are you listening to these days, Mr. Mixtape?

Just finished this book. Luna was my all time favorite band in the 90's. Dean Wareham, founder, singer, songwriter of said band wrote a book about his experience. Painfully frank, wonderfully cynical and full of detail about what is like to be in a band. A band with a strong following on a major label that eventually gets dropped and breaks up. This book gave me a lot of closure and effectively extinguished and lingering fantasies about running off to be a rock star. I read this book in one week, which in and of itself is astounding.
