Open Season (Joe Pickett, #1)

I liked this book. As usual with the first book in a series, the mystery is rather personal. Joe Pickett is kind of an average guy with a dream of being a game warden and he made that dream happen. he makes mistakes...high profile mistakes....but he's happy with where he is generally. The story involves a man who took his gun from him ending up dead in his backyard and a previously thought extinct animal. Would I read this over and over? No....but if you like mystery and have read your limit and want something quick, it's okay.
