When I first read the book, I was impressed, a riveting story.

But since then I've read Malcolm's book and just now,
Fatal Justice.

After reading these 2 books I can see now that Fatal vision is mostly fiction.
An erroneous account that was written to be a money maker.

After the MacDonald vs McGinniss trial was over, judge Ross said:
McGinniss is like "a thief in the night, then he corrected himself, saying:
"He is more of a con man than he is a thief"

After the fraud trial was over, McGinniss was asked
if he believed his theory that diet pill use caused a psychotic snap,
McGinniss replied, "I'm not convinced that it actually happened"

The fantasy of diet pill misuse was the glue that made the whole murder story make sense.

The fact is, NO OTHER MOTIVE has ever been advanced as to why MacDonald would have killed his family.

McGinniss is a totally disreputable character and no one can believe anything he says.
