Even though I've read several books on this subject, I am still amazed at the courage and strength people showed in the most inhumane circumstances. This book had some extraordinary stories of people who defied the Nazis in order to help a fellow human being, despite extreme danger to themselves .
Each chapter was a new story, so it was an easy one to read when I had an extra 5 minutes here and there. The stories were told by survivors, and so the writing itself was a bit amateurish--that's why I didn't give it more stars.
