I loved Keplinger's The DUFF and I had high hopes for this one. It wasn't as good as the first novel, but it was still a fun read! The premise behind the book is that the football and soccer teams at one high school have a big rivalry. The girlfriend (Lissa) of the quarterback (Randy) organizes a sex strike and the story goes from there.

Some of the dialogue seemed a bit forced and at times Lissa was a bit irritating. I would have liked to see more from Cash, because he was pretty interesting character. It almost seemed like this book was rushed and that a little more time with the editor would have made the book just a little better.

I'll still recommend it to my students! And, I'll keep reading Kody's books.

I did read this book in one sitting.
