7th Heaven (Women's Murder Club, #7)

This isn't the best Womens Murder Club novel to date but amazing all the same. I love the way the story plays itself out and how Patterson instills suspicion into some of the seemingly "good" characters, leaving the reader unsure of who to trust. This novel gives many more clues to the reader than Patterson's novels usually do, however, but I like how there are two plots taking place simultaneously - the murders involving wealthy, middle-aged couples being burned alive in their homes and Yuki's prosecution of Junie Moon, a prostitute being charged with the the murder of a senator's son, Michael Campion. The ending of the novel will most likely catch its readers off guard, as it did me, despite the fact that it is a bit cliché, which could, of course, simply mean that I wasn't smart enough to see it coming. It is, however, a great read, as are all of Patterson's works.
