This was so-so. It reminded me a lot f the Marie-Antoinette movie that came out many years ago which was based on another book about her that I mave nit read. There was a lot of coverage of Marie's life in Austria and the chances she went through in order to become queen and anxiety over if she would be married off to the french at all. However, I am not sure that author had enough drama and tension in these moments. The writing was fine, but I feel as if the book moved a little slowly. I think the second Md third instalments of the book will be better and I am willing to give them a chance based on this first one.
