They're futuristic crime novels (not exactly what you'd expect from Nora Roberts... or at least it wouldn't be if this weren't the 29th in the series!). I make quite a point of listening to these books on audio because I love the voices that the reader does. She has added additional layers to the various side characters (Peabody, Mavis, Dr. Mira, Crack, Trina, Feeney, McNab). An average story, predictable in places. I actually laughed aloud a couple times - which is funny for a crime novel.
