This book is most useful prenatal as it provides a lot of cheerleading and encouragement for mothers wishing to breastfeed. Postnatal it is still somewhat helpful as a motivational tool with its numerous anecdotes, but it doesn't provide much in-depth practical advice.

For readers in search of instructions, tips, and advice, try Breastfeeding Made Simple: Seven Natural Laws for Nursing Mothers, The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding from the Le Leche League, or The Breastfeeding Book: Everything You Need to Know About Nursing Your Child from Birth Through Weaning from Dr. Sears.
