I only read this book because several of my friends had done so and said how good it was . I had my doubts, it looked like chick lit and I don't usually bother with that (I am too old to be a chick). However, I decided to give it a go and it was so good I really kept looking forward to my next dip into the story. It deals with one day in the life of an American teenage girl and her three best friends. A real Groundhog Day story, but sad. To begin with Samantha Kingston is 'all that' popular ,smart, in with the in crowd, but then things take a turn for the worse. I was trying to anticipate what would happen on the next re run of the day and almost wanting to tell her how to change things in order to make everything work out right. We see all the facets of being young and at college, the bullied, the bullier, the crushes and the put downs the friendships and in some cases the crippling loneliness. Above all it shows just how much our actions can affect and reverberate through a large number of people. After all how would you react if you had chance to relive a day that went very wrong and you were able to make changes, there are days I would give a lot to change. Very moving
