liked it

This first in a new science fiction series by Pittacus Lore starts off fast paced and pretty much keeps up the speed all the way through.
Being one of nine refugees from a far away planet, seeking shelter on Earth, Number Four is a teenager like so many others, yet always on the run. When his alien legacies finally develop the enemy is already on the doorstep too, and there is no more running but fighting to stay alive.
All in all this was a good and solid YA novel, with likable characters and a whole lot of action scenes. Especially the relationship between Number Four and his "father" Henri was deep and well devised and as another plus to the book, I really liked the aspect of human alien seekers adding an interesting side to the whole story. I can well imagine this to work great as a movie (which I haven't seen), but as far as the book itself goes, it's only an ok read, with a plot that is just too foreseeable.
In short: A solid action packed novel for all those sci-fi fans out there!
