King crafts four unique tales in this anthology collection, offering snippets of the horros than race through his brain. He opens with the well-known Langoliers, as a group of airline passengers find themselves in an empty world. Realizing they have ended up in the past, the group must catch up with the present before being devoured. The Secret Window, Secret Garden places novelist Mort Rainey in a predicament. A man named named Jim Shooter claims that Rainey stole his ideas, and wants recompense before violence ensues. As Mort attempts to uncover the mystery behind Shooter, he finds the truth a little too close to home. Sam Peebles just needs some library books for his speech, but titular Library Policemen is out for more than just overdue fines. Finally, Kevin Delevan has received a Polaroid camera - one that shows a demonic canine in each snapshot. Kevin must find a way to outsmart the progression of the Sun Dog before he becomes its next victim. A nice little set of stories from the modern horror master.
