"I made a valiant struggle, but sometimes the body betrays the mind. He slowly, methodically swept aside my resistance. And, feeling he was winning, he pressed ahead and began seducing me more skilfully..."

This is no joke the best book I have read in a long time. Whilst every book takes awhile till it gets into the story, it wasn’t long till Tiger's Curse had me. Once it hit that point (and it arrived fairly quickly) I could not put the book down. A great way to start off this review, I recon: P now onto the review.

The story line of this novel is brilliant - a really good mythology adventure based story. Our main characters are Kelsey (who the story is told from - first person) and Dhiren (the white tiger on the front, that right tiger. Ren (as he prefers to be called) has a curse upon him where he is forced to be a tiger everyday and only "24 minutes in every 24 hour day" is he allowed to revert back to his human form. Kelsey is the chosen one and must help Ren in trying to break the curse that was set upon him. The two of them must go to numerous dangerous locations in order to find out clues on how to break it.

Besides the brilliant story there are captivating characters, namely: Ren. A hot young Indian prince who with every word makes you shivers, with every touch makes you melt. Yep, Kelsey has a difficult journey in trying not to be swayed by this devilishly handsome prince. There's Kadam, Ren's most trusted friend and almost a father figure for Kelsey. There's also Kishan, who is inadvertently Ren's younger brother - who is also cursed with being a tiger (he is black however and would be the tiger on the second novel). Who is so sly and flirty - he’s almost like Damon from Vampire Diaries (without being evil though haha and Ren is really like Stefan) you love Stefan but you find Damon so sexy - exactly like that: P

One thing I particularly loved was Kelsey - she was everything a female protagonist should be: (view spoiler)[ when she found out about Ren being human (as she knew him only as the tiger) and found out about him being cursed and him needed her to break the curse she doesn’t believe him - where as in most novels the females are always so willing to believe anything a handsome man tells them. Another example is she doesn’t love him straight away, she grows to love him for who he is - whereas most female characters love the male straight away because he is so good looking (very superficial). Lastly and the most important she thinks about herself and the future - she isn’t silly in thinking that love is the only thing in the world and that she should throw everything away because of it. She's realistic and that’s what I like about it. Though I don’t know if I was in her shoes if I would have been able to turn away from Ren, he is just too damn hot :) I sat there going NOOOOOOO - I understand why you’re doing it but NOOOOO, haha (hide spoiler)]

A perfect read for those who like a good adventure story, with a great Indian mythology and sexy characters ;) it also really good because it cuts at the end, making you want to rush out and get the next one.
Really this book was fantastic and I’m willing to sway anyone into reading it. YOU HAVE TO READ THIS!! ITS FANTASTIC, LOVED IT!!!!
As soon as I finished it, I was like CRAP, now I have to rush out tomorrow and buy the next one, because I just have to know what happens next!!

“He then put both hands on the door on either side of my head and leaned in close, pinning me against it. I trembled like a downy rabbit caught in the clutches of a wolf. The wolf came closer. He bent his head and began nuzzling my cheek. The problem was…I wanted the wolf to devour me.”

“He looks like a runway model. How in the world am I going to be able to reject that? The world is so unfair. Seriously, it's like turning Brad Pitt down for a date. The girl who could actually do it should win an award for idiot of the century.”
