A killer mystery loosely based on the Kasper Hauser story, but certainly not limited to it. Lots of classic pulp tension mixed with some intense psychological deterioration, (particularly with the main character). This was a story with a twist, one that I found particularly effective, not at all like the forced, cop-out endings you see in a lot of mystery novels. I didn't expect it to go into the direction it did at all. I believe this is the first of a trilogy, which is good news for me because I want more...
