it was ok
bookshelves: adults, 2008

I enjoyed dating this book at first, but it soon became clear we weren't MFEO. The beginning was okay, but it got WAY too cheesy. All the characters really got on my nerves. As did the author's insistence on constantly reminding me of the time and how things were. Example:

"It was 1964. Women didn't think for themselves in 1964. In 1964, women didn't have minds of their own. It was, after all, 1964, when women didn't think for themselves. In 1964, it was 1964."

Okay, so I made that up, but you get the idea.
