Three words: Repetition, repetition & repetition. Having read all the previous chronicles, this reads like another Lestat story decorated with different tourist guide -type descriptions of 'exotic' locations and dead philosophers and artists. It has none of the charm of the original 'Interview' or the epicness of 'The Queen of the Damned'. Another tortured-soul vampire? Been there, done that. Sorry, it was a disappointment. (Although way better than the appalling armchair-theology-disguised-as-a-vampire-novel 'Memnoch'!). My main regret is that I bought the rest of the series. I really hope they are better and come come up with something new.
