This is a super-fast read and is a more user-friendly version of the message in Eat to Live. In fact he references the book and Dr. Furhman. It gave pretty much the same message in less scientific terms, quoting some of the same data, but with less medical explanations and in an easier to read format. It also kind of mainstreams the diet a little more. It's less strict than Dr. Furhman's in terms of food items recommended and acceptable forms of food preparation. It contains several recipes in different categories as well as food products that conform to the diet. The advice of a plant-based diet to help fight, reverse, and prevent disease is one that seems to be becoming more mainstream and I'm excited to see someone show that this kind of diet not only does not harm the performance of athletes and persons with very physically demanding jobs. On the contrary, it's the best fuel out there for a strong and healthy body!
