really liked it

I have been slowly working my way through all of Michael Chabon's books this year, and this one is much earlier than anything else that I've read--and seems younger too. It is beautifully written, wonderfully descriptive, a little less dark than Kavalier and Clay or the Yiddish Policeman, and I am still in love with him as an author. The unfortunate series of events that occurs is slightly tagic, slightly comic and slightly pathetic, which is a delicate balance that is difficult to strike, and speaks to his strength as a STORY TELLER (EVENT HOUGHT THE STORIES GET MUCH MORE COMPLEX AS HE GETS OLDER, THIS ONE IS WINNINGG
