Black Seconds

THis Norwegian mystery author is very good, and very Scnadanavian--the story is stark and sparsely told--the mysteries are not peopled with evil but rather ordinary people who make some poor choices, and then continue to do so. THis is much more like what happens to people in real life--that the road to ones downfall is not steep, but rather involves a steady downward path with a few significant wrong turns along the way. Definitely recommended.
