** spoiler alert ** I really wanted to like this book more than I actually did. I think the 30's was a very interesting time period and I liked Katey, the main character. But the whole time I was reading the book I kept wondering where the story was going and what the point was. I feel like maybe there was some big lesson that I was missing, but if there was it was over my head. Plus it left me kind of sad; I'm a sucker for a happy ending and I wanted Katey and Tinker to end up together. Overall I give it a B-.
