We listened to this 11+ hour book on a long car trip. It was great! It is part historical fiction, part detective story, and very witty. Investigator Marcus Didius Falco, agent to the Roman Emperor Vespasian, is sent to Alexandria on behalf of the Emperor. He gets involved in a complicated murder investigation at the Great Library. Narrator Christian Rodska does a fantastic job - though it can be hard to keep the many unusual names straight.
