Mixed feelings on this one. Clever words and pictures. Good to note we're talking about 'storybook' wolves, not real ones. Better if you are familiar with all the classic folktales first, otherwise the 'inside' jokes won't be as funny. Oh, but poor Cinderella - I can't stop feeling hurt for her for being betrayed.

Jason Beyer My 7 yr old loves these books. I don't think she was quite as crazy about this one as some of the others but she still liked it.

Cheryl Fractured & Alternative fairy tales, you mean? Good to know. I've been wondering whether it's really the kids enjoying them, or the parents.

Jason Beyer No, I meant Lauren Child's books but she likes fractured fairy tales too. We read "Goldilocks and Just One Bear" recently and enjoyed it.

Cheryl Ah, gotcha. I love the Charlie and Lola books, too.
